Victor Francis Bray, an electrician at Newcom Colliery, Lidsdale, near Lithgow, is believed to have slipped near the rail track and fallen under and run over by a low loader being hauled by an electric locomotive conveying a load from the tunnel of the mine. An hour after being admitted to the Lithgow Hospital Mr Bray died of internal injuries.
