2025 Moranbah North Methane Explosion
It is believed that a methane explosion occurred in the goaf of Longwall 113 at approximately 3pm on Monday the 31st of March 2025. A pressure wave was felt on the face and gas monitoring detected high levels of Carbon Monoxide. No workers were injured and the mine was evacuated.
